Slow Motion Driver

Tired of cookie cutter rock and roll? Looking for a band that is totally unique and creative? Look no more! Slow Motion Driver is a band dedicated to the rebirth of creative, fun, thought provoking and just plain awesome rock music. A collaboration of pop-rock vocals with progressive and heavy rock influences brought the vision of SMD to life. A unique combination of soaring vocal melodies and creative lyrics, rhythmically strong bass lines and mesmerizing guitar riffs, all tightly held together by steady and aggressive drumming, has become Slow Motion Driver. SMD has been seen performing all over the New England area and has graced the stage with the the infamous Angry Hill, American Idol Star Constantine Maroulis and band Pray For The Soul of Betty and with New York City’s indie phenomenon, The Cringe. In short, Slow Motion Driver is quite possibly the most impressive four-piece band out of Boston in some time and will no doubt quinch the musical pallet of even the most pristine Rock Scholar!
Brent Barlow - vocals - keyboard

Brent began his musical career in Southwest Missouri where he was trained as a classical pianist from the age of seven. Eventually Brent’s interests switched to singing and in 1992 he received a Masters degree in vocal performance from Northwestern University. After appearing in numerous operas and musical theater productions, his focus turned to his natural gift of song writing! (Yeah!) In 1996 Brent moved to Boston Massachusetts where currently works as a professional singer, musician, recording artist and teacher.
He currently teaches close to fifty private voice students and holds the position of Senior Vocal Instructor at Bristol Recording and Voice Studios.
Tom Lada - Bass

Tommy likes playing his bass, and he also likes playing with Slow Motion Driver, so by being in the band, he's pretty happy about it.
He also plays bass with Sonic Bonnet and Gigawatt currently. He plays bass alot.
